Q span clamp is used to provide drop wire take-offs along the span and relieve tension on the drop at this point.
- Made of corrosion-resistant, high-quality steel

- The minimum tensile strength of the clamping plates is 80,000 PSI
- The minimum tensile strength of the hook is 500 PSI
- Through controlled galvanizing with sharp and clean threads, allowing the nut turns easily
- Accommodates 6.6mm to 16.6mm messenger strand
- The clamp is manufactured so the square shank on the stud fits the square hole in the clamping plates to prevent rotation when the nut is tightened
- The clamp hook will accommodate multiple drops
Installation
1-Position Clamping plates on top of the messenger strand.
2-Tighten clamping nut.
3-Insert drop wire, drop wire clamp, or wire grip into the hook.
4-Pull the drop wire against the hook toward the area where the service is being installed
The 1/4” pigtail hook has a deep bend for better retention of the drop wire clamp or wire grip
