Flat Steel Drop Wire Clamp with Hook mainly consists of three parts: a shell, a shim, and a wedge equipped with a bail wire.

Being the telecom and power utility hardware factory, we mainly produce two types of drop wire clamps, 1 pair – 2 pair wire clamps and 6 pairs wire clamps. Our wire clamps products are available in various materials and lengths. All can be customized according to your specific requirement.

Installation:

• Place the neutral messenger cable in shell of the clamp body.
• Then, put shime on top of cable with raised embossings against cable.
• Once located, insert wedge in shell (on top of shim) and slide to engage. Small end of wedge should be initially engaged in track of large end of shell.
• Place bailwire on “B” drop wire hook (ram’s horn) with wedge loose. Pull drop wire through clamp until proper sidewalk/alley clearance is achieved.
• Hold clamp and pull tightly to make sure that the cable does not slide from the clamp.
